FOOTBALL: Worthing grab late draw at Dulwich

WORTHING twice came from behind on Saturday (March 21) to draw 2-2 at Dulwich Hamlet in Ryman League Division 1 South.

Jamie Brotherton hit Rebels' second equaliser with just four minutes left with an excellent left-foot finish.

Dulwich had taken the lead on 34 minutes when Stuart Myall's cross was converted by Cedric Ngakam from 10 yards.

That was the way things stayed until half-time and early in the second period, Scott Simpson and Daryl Plummer both missed excellent chances to double Dulwich's lead.

They were made to pay on 59 minutes when Jorge Lopes, on a rare start, crossed from the right and Ross Treleaven tapped home from six yards.

Dulwich regained their lead on 72 minutes when Plummer brilliantly volleyed home from 20 yards following Myall's corner, but Brotherton's late strike ensured Rebels went home with a point.

In the first half, before Dulwich's goal, Rebels' Lee Farrell had an effort ruled out for offside on 15 minutes and Chris O'Flaherty hit the post from a free kick on 30 minutes, while Worthing keeper Alan Mansfield saved well from John-Paul Collier on 24 minutes.
