Ade to make United return?

That’s the situation according to United manager John Maggs, who has been in dialogue with Olorunda since the striker left Lewes last week.

Maggs said: “Everyone’s talking about Ade. I know that Ade has taken a couple of weeks off and obviously I have spoken to Ade. Being a local lad he would like to come back to Hastings, but I’ve got to continue talking to him in that period that he’s having off.

“I can’t see Ade playing for anyone until after the Guernsey trip (on November 27), but I might be wrong. He might go somewhere else. He’s quite keen to play for the club and it suits his needs, but there’s some talking to do.

“If it doesn’t happen, I’ve also put seven days in on Trevor McCreadie and there’s some talking going on there as well. Over the next seven days we will have some answers. Things are moving on in the comings and goings, and there’s no need to really panic because there’s a long, long way to go (in the season).”

United’s run of nine consecutive home games will finally end with a trip to bottom club Corinthian Casuals in Ryman Football League Division One South tomorrow (Saturday). In fact, it will be assistant manager Cliff Cant’s first away match since joining the club at the start of October.

Tim Olorunda will make his return from a three-match ban in the Sussex Senior Cup second round tie at home to Westfield on Tuesday night. Last weekend’s postponed clash at home to Walton & Hersham has been rearranged for Monday December 16.
