Albion’s weekend odds: Crystal Palace

BRIGHTON & Hove Albion’s away day blues are threatening to derail their promotion charge.

The Seagulls took just a solitary point from three consecutive road trips which leaves them in seventh position and just a point behind Nottingham Forest, who occupy the final play-off position.

Along with Bolton they look the biggest obstacles as Brighton look to find some consistency in the final throws of the campaign.

Middlesbrough remain in the mix despite an awful run and Leeds are still lurking even though far too many draws seem to have left them with an awful lot to do.

Gus Poyet’s men are 11/10 to make the top six and 6/1 to secure promotion and it’s going to be an exciting climax to the campaign for those at the AMEX.

The final two games of the month couldn’t be any bigger infact with Crystal Palace the visitors to the South coast on Sunday and Brighton playing Nottingham Forest at the City ground.

With Leicester and Middlesbrough in opposition at the start of April, Brighton will certainly feel their destiny remains very much in their own hands.

The lunchtime game with Palace will see the return of former striker Glen Murray who is having a fantastic season at Selhurst Park.

He has notched 29 Championship goals and having been 66/1 during the summer is now 1/10 to lift the golden boot.

He is 6/1 to notch first or last and 13/8 to net anytime with Palace 2/1 to win the match.

Brighton are favourites at 6/4 with the stalemate 12/5.The Eagles have been the surprise package in the section with many predicting a relegation battle at the outset.

They were 3/1 for the drop back in August but have confounded the critics with a promotion charge having been handily placed through out.

Currently fourth and 25/1 for the title they look booked for the playoffs at worst and BetVictor offer them at 2/1 to be playing Premiership football next year.

Brighton were undone by a tacky Oakwell pitch on Tuesday night when losing 2-1 to Barnsley.

They were arguably out battled on the night when they were unable to produce their usual free flowing football and hopefully a return to home comforts will produce a better result this Sunday.
