The Commoners will travel to in-form Saltdean United in Macron Store Southern Combination League Division One tomorrow (Saturday).

Saltdean are four points above Common with four games remaining having won 10 and drawn one of their last 11 league matches, but Common were the last team to beat them back in December’s reverse fixture.

“We’ll go there in good spirits after today, and as long as we show that desire, workrate, attitude and effort, I’ll be pleased with the boys,” Eldridge continued.

“We’ve got a good spirit amongst us and a real belief that that we want to finish as high as we can.”

Common, who are the division’s highest scorers with 89 league goals in 30 games, are two points better off than fourth-placed Mile Oak having played a match less.
