Another priceless point boosts Chichester City

Chichester City ground out another point in their desperate battle to win a reprieve in division one of the Sussex League.

Neil Sherlock and Alex Twitchen’s team followed up their Easter Monday win over Arundel with a 1-1 draw at home to Ringmer.

It leaves them just one point behind St Francis Rangers, knowing that finishing one off the bottom could be enough to stay up if ground-grading issues affect other ups and downs between the top flight and division two.

In division two, strikes from Jamie Angell and Ben Crawford earned relegation battlers Midhurst a priceless 2-1 home win over Seaford.

Division-three action saw Bosham go down 3-1 at Broadbridge Heath - Graeme Dowden their scorer - while Barnham lost 4-2 at home to Ifield Edwards, with Ash Harper scoring both Trojans goals.
