ARE you tough enough for the Mudder?

ARE you tough enough to take on what is described as one of the hardest events on the planet when it comes to the South of England later this year?

Tough Mudder is returning to the UK this year with double the mud, double the gruelling obstacles and double the events.

The 10 to 12-mile run with 20 to 25 military-style obstacles designed by British Special Forces, is,s an endurance phenomenon which swept America and Australia before coming to the UK last year with three events in London, Manchester and Edinburgh.

Following an overwhelming reception and huge demand, 2013 sees the amount of events in the UK double to six nationally, with our closest event the London South Mudder scheduled for June 8 and 9.

Tough Mudder was founded in America in 2010 with three events and since has gone on to establish itself in Canada, Australia, the UK and Germany with 53 events scheduled in 2013.

Home to the most innovative courses and 700,000 inspiring participants worldwide to date – and over 750,000 expected participants this year alone - Tough Mudder is the premier adventure challenge series in the world.

Unlike any marathon or mud run, Tough Mudder is not a race, but a challenge - a challenge to test mental toughness and physical endurance whilst emphasising teamwork and camaraderie.

To get through mud, fire, ice water and 10,000 volts of electricity, you’ll need teammates to pick you up when morale is low.

To get over 12-foot walls and through underground mud tunnels, you’ll need teammates to give you a boost and a push.

Tough Mudders are team players who make sure no Mudder gets left behind.

Events kick off with London North in May before going on to London South in June, Scotland in August, Yorkshire and South West in September, finishing with the North West event in October.
