Mullets fell a goal behind after just nine minutes, but a Barney Boutwood strike on the hour ensured the points were shared.

Arundel boss Simon Butler felt a draw was a fair reflection of the game and said: “I think a draw was probably a fair result.

Loxwood were superb in the first half and could well have gone in 4-0 up at the break, had they finished their chances.

“But we were much improved in the second half and we could well have knicked it late on.

“All in all, the draw was fair and I was happy with our performance.”

It was the home side who went in front on nine minutes when Tim Martin netted.

The Mullets got themselves level 15 minutes after the break when Boutwood fired home from the edge of the penalty area for his 16th goal of the season.

Mullets keeper James Fernandes then pulled off a superb double stop on 62 minutes to ensure his side secured the draw.
