Aston goal books Roffey’s final spot
They booked their spot against Cuckfield Rangers in the final next Wednesday thanks to a solitary Damon Aston goal.
With a full squad to choose from manager Julian Miller was able to protect a few of the players who were carrying injuries and was still able to put out a very strong starting line -up.

In the second minute, Paul White hit the crossbar with a fantastic effort. Andy Lampard and Aston had the defence in all sorts of trouble and created five chances which were not taken.
At the other end, the home defence were coping well with a direct approach and when breached, Lewis Blaney was on hand to make two fantastic saves.
Having had the majority of possession,Roffey took the lead on 45 minutes.

Hide AdPaul White made a run and opened space for Aston to run into and Ben Simester played a quality pass to send him away and he finished superbly past the keeper.
In the second half, Roffey should have had a penalty when Elliot Hawkes was brought down by a defender only for the referee to wave play on.
At the other end, the backline of Chris Simmons, Phil Awcock, Duncan Hirschfield and Simester protected Blaney superbly.
