Golds take on Seaford in the final at Peacehaven and Bennett said: “The cup final is for the players and for them to go and enjoy it, but my main priority is the league.”

Golds go into the match without the unavailable Jon and Michael Hendrick, while Michael Asare and Scott Packer are cup-tied and Lee Garnham has gone travelling.

Bennett said: “Everyone else is available and there were no injuries from the win on Tuesday.”

Golds lost last year’s final 5-1 to East Preston at Arundel and Bennett said: “I don’t think there will be as many people watching this year as it was a local derby last year.

“The players are all another year older as well, so I’m hoping they go out and enjoy it.”

Littlehampton will take on St Francis Rangers in the semi-finals of the John O’Hara Cup after Rangers won their quarter-final tie 2-1 at home to Horsham YMCA last Thursday.

The game will be played on April 23, with the final on May 6.
