Bexhill’s scheduled game away to Oakwood last weekend was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, which allowed Wick to overhaul them on goal difference having played three fewer matches.

Wick possess the division’s best defensive record and have lost fewer games than anybody else. They were also 1-0 winners in September’s reverse fixture.

“I felt we deserved at least something out of that game because we played well,” continued Munday. “At that point I didn’t think they were as good as some of the other sides around, but they’re probably the in-form side now.”

Allan McMinigal is struggling with a shoulder injury, while Andy Atkin is unable to commit at present due to issues outside of football.

Bexhill arranged a first team versus reserves match on Wednesday night to give players some much-needed game time.
