Black is back... defender gives Hastings United squad another boost

The versatile operator had a standout 2019-20 season with solid performances every time he pulled on a jersey for the Us, with his consistent battling and the most dangerous of long throws adding to the attack arsenal of the club.
It follows news that Gary Elphick, Ben Pope and skipper Sam Adams have all agreed to join Hastings' new bid for promotion from the Isthmian south-east division.

"We have business to finish and I can't wait to repay the supporters for the frustrating end to the season we have had. I am looking forward to playing my part and the challenge of winning promotion (again!) next season."
Boss Chris Agutter said: "I am delighted to have another year working with Ollie Black. His development and progress over the past 18 months means he has become one of the stand out defenders at our level. He is an honest, hard-working, committed and extremely talented player, a perfect fit for us at Hastings United."
Club CEO Billy Wood added. "Ollie has played for both clubs I have been involved with and to see the player he is growing into has been something special. His development should be credited to his determination to always be better and he is a huge asset for us both defending and attacking. I am glad Ollie has put pen to paper."
