Sheffield United new favourites to sign Liverpool starlet

The Blades are desperate to sign a new striker to start banging in the goals, and the club have now been reinstated as the bookies' favourite to sign Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster, ahead of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.

Notably, the England youth sensation wasn't named in the Reds' squad to face Lincoln City in the Carabao Cup last night.

Brighton close in on new striker

Brighton & Hove Albion look set to land a new striker, with transfer guru Fabrizio Romana revealing via Twitter that the Seagulls are closing in on ex-Juventus loanee Andi Zeqiri.

The 21-year-old Kosovo international netted 17 goals in the Swiss second tier for Lausanne last season, and is said to be preparing for a Brighton medical after a "total agreement" over the fee was met between the two clubs.

Leicester City and Aston Villa cash in on players

Leicester City have confirmed today that Malian winger Fousseni Diabate has left the club to join Turkish side Trabzonspor, in a deal thought to be worth around €2m.

Meanwhile, Villa have flogged flop striker Mbwana Samatta to Fenerbahce, on a loan deal with obligation-to-buy for a fee of £5.5m at the end of the current campaign.
