The Seagulls have shown plenty of promise in the opening exchanges of the season, but still find themselves in a relatively precarious position at the wrong end of the Premier League table, and Sunday’s nail-biting FA Cup tie against Newport County will have done little to settle nerves around the Amex.
It would appear Albion are keen to do business this month, however, and one player who they are seemingly leading the race for his Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo.
According to Sky Sports, Brighton have launched an official bid for the teenager, who up until recently had been linked with Manchester United.
The Seagulls aren’t the only side in the running for his services, however, and Newcastle United have also been touted as potential suitors.
