Brighton can go six points clear of 18th placed Fulham, with a game in hand, if they beat Newcastle, who are one place and one point behind Brighton.
Albion could have Dan Burn and Aaron Connolly available. Defender Burn went off against Southampton last weekend as a precaution with a hamstring issue and striker Connolly is back in training after a cracked rib. Tariq Lamptey, Solly March and Adam Webster are still out injured.

Dan Burn is in a race to be fit to face Newcastle

. Rob Sanchez
The remarkable rise of the 23-year-old keeper continued this week as he was called for the Spain squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. The 6ft 6in was playing League One football at Rochdale last season and was Brighton's No 3 at the start of the campaign.

. Joel Veltman
Can't think of too many better signings in the Premier League this season. 900k from Ajax was an absolute bargain for the classy dutch international

. Ben White
A smooth operator in the Brighton defence and a very consistent performer considering it's his first campaign in the Premier

5. Dan Burn
Takes stick from some fans but Brighton will need him tonight. Injuries to March and Webster have hit Albion hard and Burn's experience will be vital on the left against Newcastle

6. Yves Bissouma
Plays a crucial and disciplined role in Albion's midfield. Not quite as eye catching of late but still covers plenty of ground and protects the backline well

7. Pascal Gross
The German has been a key man for Brighton this season. Played as a right wing back at Southampton but likely to take his place in a conventional midfield role against Newcastle

8. Adam Lallana
Top quality against Leicester and Southampton. Another player returning to his best are recovering from injuries and illness.
