Leeds United eye Rodrigo De Paul alternative

According to Football Insider, Leeds United are plotting a late-window swoop for Chelsea star Ross Barkley.

The ex-Everton attacking midfielder is seen as a possible alternative to Udinese playmaker Rodrigo De Paul.

Barkley could be made available by Chelsea as they look to lower their wage bill after a big summer recruitment drive.

The 26-year-old had a spell on loan at Leeds in the second half of 2012-13 season under Neil Warnock.

The Blues are said to value the attacking midfielder at around the £30m mark.

Brighton, Liverpool and Leeds have ‘bid accepted’

Leeds United have had a bid accepted for ‘highly-rated’ Motherwell defender Sam Campbell, according to the Press Association

However, the Whites’ Premier League rivals Liverpool and Brighton have also had bids accepted for the 16-year-old.

Whites miss out on star

Josko Gvardiol is set to join RB Leipzig from Dinamo Zagreb, having turned down a contract from Leeds United.

Leeds' move for Gvardiol collapsed earlier in the week and he now looks set to join the German club.

The club agreed a deal with Dinamo but Gvardiol is said to have refused their contract offer.

SkyBet have offered surprise odds on Sheffield United and their Premier League rivals completing a deal for Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell.

The 22-year-old was one of the Canaries top performers last season as Daniel Farke’s side suffered relegation to the Championship.

Burnley ‘closing in’ on deal for Liverpool’s ex-Bournemouth loanee

Burnley are reportedly closing in on an eight-figure deal to sign Wales international Harry Wilson from Liverpool.

Sky Sports claim the two clubs are locked in talks over a potential £15m move for the 23-year-old.

The winger enjoyed loan spells at Derby County and Bournemouth in recent seasons.

The Welsh winger netted 18 goals for the Rams as they narrowly missed out on promotion from the Championship in 2019.

He then scored seven Premier League goals in the Cherries’ unsuccessful fight against relegation last campaign.

Manchester United continue to miss out on ‘top targets’

Manchester United are still hurrying to get deals over the line before the transfer window closes next month.

And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggling to secure his top targets so far after a deal for Jadon Sancho stalled.
