That’s because UEFA have relaxed their blackout on broadcasting football during certain hours – meaning all 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday can now be televised.

According to the BBC, UEFA agreed to cancel the blackout after requests from both the English and Scottish football associations – with the pair acting as they look to pave a path to football’s return following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Such a blackout – which prohibits live football being broadcast between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday – was designed to protect ticketing revenues for clubs.

But with the possibility that football could head behind closed doors when it eventually returns, the restrictions have temporarily been lifted to allow for any games which cannot be played in front of spectators to be broadcast.

In a statement, UEFA said: "UEFA has lifted the 'blocked hours' protection granted to England and Scotland for the remainder of the 2019-20 season following requests from the relevant national associations as a result of measures taken in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic."

This means that Brighton and their rivals could see all of their remaining fixtures broadcast when the Premier League returns.

There is no set date for football to resume, with governing bodies keeping the situation under constant review ahead of a potential return in the summer.

UEFA are hopeful that games could begin again in July.
