Albion, who have nine points from nine matches, have had a full week to recover and prepare for Liverpool, while Jurgen Klopp's men were in Champions League action on Wednesday night against Atalanta.

Klopp has been complaining about Liverpool's injuries and hectic schedule and criticised the 12.30pm kick-off time. "You might as well just hand the three points to Brighton," said the German.

Brighton will have little sympathy and will look to make it a high pace and intense affair as they seek their first home win of the season at the Amex.

Graham Potter's team have played some decent football this campaign and the arrival of Danny Welbeck has improved the starting XI and offers Albion a cutting edge that was previously lacking.

Welbeck socred an excellent goal in the 2-1 win at Villa and the former Man United man will be keen to add to his tally against a Liverpool team missing the defensive talents of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez.

As always though, Liverpool boost an impressive array of attacking talent with Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota a real threat to the Brighton rearguard.
