Bissouma has been excellent for Brighton this season and also produced an assured performance against the Gunners during the first half at the Amex Stadium tonight.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move away from the south coast with Liverpool, Manchester, Real Madrid and Arsenal all believed to be interested.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a huge fan of the competitive Mali international and believes he would represent an upgrade on their current midfield crop.

Brighton signed Bissouma from Lille in 2018 for £15m and he is contracted with the Seagulls until 2023.

Campbell has been impressed with his development under Graham Potter this season and feels Bissouma would be an ideal partner for Thomas Partey at the Emirates.

"Central midfield, I think they are very good," said Campbell before the kick-off of Brighton vs Arsenal.

"Especially Bissouma. I really like him and there is talk of clubs coming in for him and Arsenal are one of them.

"Arsenal could do with a player like him. Tomas Party needs a partner in the midfield with energy and he would fit the bill perfectly."

Eniola Aluko was also on pundit duty t the Amex and the former Juventus and Chelsea striker is also a big fan.

"His position is very important for every team. His defensive midfield position protects the back four. But not only does he do that he starts counter attacks.

"He is so comfortable, he shields the ball. He knows how to use his body in tight positions. He breaks up play and he stops counter attacks he is such a big player for Brighton."
