Logan MacLeod's player ratings who shone and who struggled for Brighton against Tottenham

It was a pulsating Premier League match as Brighton and Hove Albion thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 at the Amex

Brighton celebrate
Brighton celebrate

But who shone and who struggled for Graham Potter's men?

Brave play out from the back that led to the goal. Looked like a proper ball-playing keeper today. Pulled some great saves out of the bag to deny Kane from close range and Moura from 20 yards out
Can see hes buying into the managers philosophy playing the ball around nicely at the back and into midfield. Looks like a solid pairing between him and Dunk.
Confident receiving the ball from Ryan under pressure to get the attack going. Leader at the back. Smashing tackle on Son which the fans enjoyed. Good block against Lamela. Had Kane in his pocket. Assisted Connollys second.
Like so often this season defending is solid and is also excelling going forward down the left. Whipped in the cross for Connollys first goal.
Made himself an option playing high and wide, stretching Spurs. Bombed forward on a few occasions to provide a threat for his team.
Mr Consistent. Sits in well and makes it look effortless. Never loses the ball and always looks the calmest on the pitch. A vital experienced head in the middle of the park. Knows what pass to play before he gets the ball.
Delivered the cross that troubled Lloris, which handed Maupay the goal. Linked up well in midfield and looked lively. Chased the ball down well. Hit the woodwork with a cheeky free-kick.
Nice way to celebrate a new contract. Looks confident on the ball. Got stuck into the Spurs midfield today. Can see he believes in his ability after some nice touches in tight spaces to open up the play.
Man-of-the-match performance. Took his goals brilliantly. Quick to react and tap in for his first Premier League goal. Then bagged a worldie from the edge of the box. Battled well. Looks like a dangerous pairing with Maupay.
Gambled for his goal and was rewarded with a tap-in after Lloris spilled it. Looked lively and pacey, which caused the Spurs defence problems. Sharp and direct pairing between him and Connolly.
Instrumental in the dynamic Albion midfield today. Kept possession well leading up to Connolly's first goal. Looked to play the ball forward every time. Ran and fought all day. Top performance.
90th minute replacement for Stephens
Experienced head brought on to manage the game for his team in the final few minutes
Came on in the late stages of the game and saw the game out well for his team
Unfortunate day at the office, left the field with an awkward looking injury, which led to Albions opener. Subbed off inside the first three minutes.
Conceded seven to Bayern Munich in midweek and now three here at the Amex. Looks slow and lacking in confidence.
Got beat by Connolly who nipped in front of Davies and reacted quicker for Brightons second. Poor defending and looked frustrated.
Makeshift position at right-back and a bit of a liability for his team. Poor challenge after poor challenge in dangerous areas. Should have conceded a penalty after a push in the back on Connolly.
Looked slow today and a shadow of his former self. Allowed Connolly in on his preferred right foot to fire past Gazzaniga. Lack of communication between the defence for goals.
Moved into defence after starting as a holding midfielder. Couldnt assert his dominance from midfield and then conceded in defence in the second half. Slow and ineffective.
Failed to get a sniff all game. Normally can play anywhere and shines. Looks, like many other Spurs players, like hes playing within himself. Brighton should get the plaudits however for their tireless work rate.
Few fleeting nice touches. But was closed down by Brighton and couldnt get near the likes of Stephens, Gross, Mooy, Alazate who were just knocking ball around him. Subbed off for Winks
Tried to make a difference in patches when on the ball. Kept running into a solid and well organised Brighton defence and midfield.
Very few touches throughout. Lacked service and was marked out the game. Missed a good opportunity to get a goal back for his team. Subbed off for Moura.
Quiet game. First chance came in the 70th minute and saw him sky it high, wide and not at all handsome. Should have scored but was denied by the strong Maty Ryan who stood up well. Lacked service.
Brought on early in the second half in the middle of the park. Couldnt get things going and make a difference to the Spurs attack.
On to replace Lloris. Will have nightmares about Connolly tonight. Saved well initially to deny the young Irishman for the first goal but palmed it back into the path of Connolly.. Will be asking questions of his defence for both goals
Couldnt affect the game like hes able to. Half chance with a good effort from long range. Looks like theres a collective slump at Spurs and he was part of that today.
