Brighton have made a patchy start to the season and have five points from the opening six matches.

They have suffered three losses to Chelsea, Manchester United and Everton and drawn 1-1 with Crystal Palace and West Brom.

Their solitary triumph this season came at Newcastle where they produced their best display of the season to record a 3-0 win.

Graham Potter's men have played some nice football at times this season but opponents have often found it easy to pick them off, which is a worry for Albion fans as they prepare to face Spurs' lethal attacking partnership.

Harry Kane and Son Heung-min have been in sparkling form for Mourinho's men who are fifth in the fledgling Premier League table with 11 points from six.

Son's header from Kane's flick-on during their 1-0 win at Burnley last Sunday was the ninth time this season the duo have combined for a Premier League goal - and 29th in total.

The Spurs manager was however fuming on Thursday night as his much-changed team suffered a 1-0 loss in Group J of the Europa League at Antwerp.

Mourinho will expect a huge response at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against the Albion on Sunday.

"Tottenham take on Brighton after a good result on the road against Burnley," wrote Michael Owen in his blog for betvictor.

"Jose Mourinho will have been delighted that his side kept a clean sheet and will go into this aiming for another three points.

"Brighton have been a bit stop start this season, and I think they might get caught out against a superior side that are very dangerous when going forward.

"I’m going with a home win for Jose Mourinho’s men."
