Newport have developed a giant-killing reputation in recent years, holding Tottenham to a draw in 2018 before losing the replay and also knocking out Premier League Leicester City with a 2-1 win at Rodney Parade two seasons ago.

If selected, it will be a return to Wales for Brighton defender Ben White who spent a season on loan at Newport in 2017-18.

White made 42 appearances for County and was part of the team that shocked Leeds United with a 2–1 home win over Championship club Leeds United in the FA Cup third round.

The classy defender was highly regarded in Wales and won the South Wales Player of The Year Award for Newport for the 2017–18 season.

At the awards ceremony, manager Mike Flynn described White as "the best loan signing the club has ever made."

White may well be rested for the tricky cup clash at Rodney Parade but it didn't stop the Newport fans enjoying themselves on social media.

@stevejmoz: That’s very Doable. Come on Newport! #GiantKillers #FACup

@MikeKing14_: Nice away game against the club where Ben White had his superior loan spell in the 3rd round

@BhafcHub: Gutted we won’t be able to go would’ve been another ground ticked off the list for me and a proper FA cup awayday This has got a cup upset written all over it

@TogetherBHA: Good draw for #BHAFC that. I'm a fan of Newport, they seem to be rather well run from a total casuals perspective and were a big milestone in Ben Whites development. Also a superb runout for our 2nd eleven.

@TweetingSeagull: Giant killing Newport County away, tough. Not a pitch that suits us, but at least Ben White knowns his away around it. And of course some will have experience of them turning us over in the league cup in 2013. Potter likes learning lessons, an easy start for his homework #bhafc
