'Pathetic', 'What a joke' - Liverpool fans fume over contentious moment in dramatic Brighton draw

Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to voice their anger at Brighton being awarded a last gasp penalty in the dramatic 1-1 draw against at the Amex Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

The Seagulls were given a late penalty after a VAR review ruled that Andy Robertson had fouled Danny Welbeck with an errant boot. Pascal Gross then stepped up to coolly convert.

That strike cancelled out Diogo Jota’s 60th minute opener in a game that was full of talking points.

Prior to Brighton’s late showing, the champions had two goals chalked off by the video referee, while Neal Maupay also missed from the spot in the 20th minute before being substituted with a hamstring injury.
