'Please stop playing Ben White in midfield' - Brighton fans react to starting XI against Wolves

Brighton and Hove Albion fans seemed pretty happy with the Graham Potter's starting XI for their important Premier League clash against Wolves

Brighton, who are just two points above the drop zone, are once again without the considerable talents of Tariq Lamptey, who continues to struggle with a hamstring injury.

Danny Welbeck (knee) is out and Adam Lallana (groin) is only fit enough for the bench, while Steven Alzate was unavailable.

Fans were pretty happy that Aaron Connolly and Neal Maupay were paired in attack but the main point of concern seemed to be Ben White playing in midfield once more.

White was left out for the 1-0 loss to Arsenal last week after he was criticised for his performance during the 2-2 draw at West Ham.

White is back in the team for the Wolves but will line-up alongside Yves Bissouma in central midfield.

Brighton XI: Sanchez; Veltman Webster, Dunk Burn; Trossard, White, Bissouma, March; Maupay, Connolly. Subs: Steele, Mac Allister, Gross, Lallana, AJ, Propper, Zeqiri, Bernardo Molumby

Here's how Brighton fans reacted on social media:

@MJSowerby: Why do we insist on playing White in midfield? Has been good at times there but surely Propper/Molumby would be better? #bhafc

@seancsullivan: On Burn, he dealt well with Traore very well last year I remember #BHAFC

@LEEBHAFC: Dont be fooled, that's genuinely a good team from available players. March will be released counter attacking, Burn most comfortable covering the left. White will be needed on wolves attackers who cut in at pace. Counter attacking masterclass in coming, like prime West Ham #bhafc

@AlexDyball74 If I were a midfielder such as gross, alzate, propper I’d feel disrespected that Ben white is playing central midfield when he was player of the season at CB last year. Can’t see us winning this but have to be optimistic #BHAFC

@wearebrighton: I really hope that #BHAFC line up isn't being crammed into a 3-4-3. The formation only really thrives when you have two attacking wing backs, like Lamptey & March. Playing centre backs like White/Veltman/Burn as wing backs just doesn't work

@MikeKing14_: Quite like the lineup today, however I am slightly worried about Adama v Dan Burn... Solly is going to have his work cut out to cover, discipline will be needed #BHAFC

@DarylTullett: If GP is going to insist on playing White CM he should of let him go to Leeds. Not fair on the lad #bhafc

@BHA_Bowman: I think that’s White in midfield. What is Burn doing there. But otherwise decent. Just win tho, please#bhafc

@MissWadgeY6NQT: Hold up... we are playing with... TWO STRIKERS?! #BHAFC

@eskimark: Will never be able to understand Burn over Bernardo #bhafc

@BhaFreddie: Asides from burn I don’t mind it. They don’t have podence!! #bhafc
