Savage says Albion are easy on the eye under Graham Potter but feels a lack of goals could see them drop down to the Championship.

The Seagulls, who lacked a cutting edge throughout during the 1-0 home loss to Arsenal, end 2020 with a solitary home win from 17 top-flight fixtures and with plenty of work to do in the new year.

Beleaguered Brighton remain just two points above the drop zone after failing to end their lengthy wait for a victory at the Amex Stadium.

Savage also questioned Albion's starting XI that saw Ben White, Danny Welbeck and Neal Maupay drop to the bench.

"it is going to be a tough test for Brighton today with that team," said Savage

"They can't win games and they don't score enough to stay in the Premier League. I really fear for Brighton in the Premier League this year.

"We know about their style. Everybody in the Premier League wants great free flowing football and winning football.

"But sometimes you have to adapt and Chris Hughton kept Brighton up in a way that he plays.

"They could go down playing a better brand of football. West Brom with Big Sam have a great chance of staying up, Burnley under Sean Dyche I think will stay up.

"So that leaves Fulham, Brighton and Sheffield United. Brighton are going struggle, they don't score enough goals but they play nice football."

Brighton are next in action on Saturday January 2 as they welcome Wolves to the Amex Stadium.
