'Sometimes it’s just about digging in' Brighton fans react to battling point at Sheffield United

Brighton and Hove Albion dispensed with the pretty football and produced a more robust display to claim a deserved Premier League point at Sheffield United.

Here's what the fans had to say after the 1-1 draw, including Neal Maupay's goal, Lewis Dunk's VAR and 2000 balloons in response to Albion's winter break in Tenerife.

@MikeKing14_Final comment goes on the travelling support: I’ve been pretty critical in recent weeks about the atmosphere but today was top class from everyone, I hope we can keep that going as it definitely wears off on the team #BHAFC

@benbhafc Am honestly really proud of the lads today, Pröpper and Maty were on fire today and everyone else put in good shifts, on to the next game #bhafc

@bhafcryan: Not sure why but I just love seeing Neal Maupay on the scoresheet. The work he does off the ball is great too, if he becomes more clinical he can be a brilliant player for us.

@KaufmanRichard: Have to say at least VAR has been consistent today. After the Lo Celso incident earlier, John Lundstram with something very similar on Lewis Dunk in the #SHUBHA game. Looks awful with every replay. Then it says on the scoreboard "no serious foul play". Hate to see what is!!

@bestgug: A VAR check on a high tackle by John Lundstram on Lewis Dunk...Nothing given and Dunk is furious. VAR again refusing to overturn a decision or even refer it to the monitor.

@BHAseagulls_com Neal Maupay has scored his first goal in nine #PL appearances for Brighton, ending a run of 660 minutes of play and 21 shots without scoring for the Seagulls in the competition; his equaliser came just 193 seconds after Sheffield United had gone ahead. #BHAFC

@LaurenLaing94 Happy with that point! Always take a draw away from home against a team in the top 6! No pretty football today but sometimes it’s about digging in and getting a result. We were unlucky to not have got a pen and they could have easily gone down to 10 men. Bring on Palace #BHAFC

@wearebrighton What happened with #BHAFC players in Tenerife and balloons is deadly serious and in no way should be mocked by Albion fans turning up to Bramall Lane today with 2000 balloons

@Brightonfan: When Bissouma got a early yellow, I thought here we go. But the maturity he showed and his all round game today was second to none. He knows his spot might be up for grabs with Mac Allister waiting in the wings. For me he was my MOTM today. #bhafc

@TweetingSeagull: For me, it’s not about Brighton now being a “long ball team”. It’s about having the ability to adapt our approach to games as it suits. We did the job today that was required, but I suspect next weekend will be very different. #bhafc
