FiveThirtyEight’s data model uses statistics to map out the season, and they are predicting another close race for the Premier League title.
Brighton are currently flirting with the relegation places having secured just six points from their first eight matches.
The model anticipates a nerve-jangling battle to avoid the drop for a number of team and perhaps surprisingly predicts bad news for Chris Wilder's Sheffield United.
It also throws up a few surprises in the race for the European football next season.
