Tariq Lamptey, Adam Lallana and Adam Webster all missed Albion's painful 3-0 loss at Leicester but all three trained today and are in contention for Fulham.

Defeat at the King Power leaves Brighton in 16th with just 10 points from their first 12 matches.

Fulham are also at the wrong end of the table and are third from bottom despite their impressive 1-1 draw against champions Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Lallana has missed the last two matches for Brighton with a groin problem sustained in the win at Aston Villa.

Webster also had a groin issue and Lamptey missed the Leicester match as a 'precaution' due to a tight hamstring.

"They have trained today so that’s good for us," said Potter. "We will have to see how they react and what the response is.

"As I said before Leicester, the game came a little bit too soon for them, but we’re hopeful for Wednesday as it stands."

"He [Lallana] has been training today, so that’s good news for him and for us, we will see how he is tomorrow as well. There’s a good chance he’s going to be involved."

Potter admits his team have missed Lallana's character as well as technical ability, which will be vital at Fulham.

"In the Premier League it’s about both, you can’t be successful if you rely on talent in this league, you have to have both.

"I think players show that in different ways – we have got some quiet, resilient characters, and then we have got some more vociferous ones shall we say and Adam is one of those guys.

"With his experience and what he has done in the game, he brings that and a quality on the pitch so clearly we’re happy to have him back and he will add something for us."

The match at Craven Cottage will be played without fans as London will enter tier three restrictions on Wednesday. Last Sunday 2,000 fans inspired Fulham to their draw against Liverpool and they will be greatly missed this Wednesday.

"I just heard about it," said Potter at his press conference on Monday afternoon. "My initial thought is that it’s sad news, I think football benefits from getting the supporters back and it sounds like a bit of a step back, certainly in how we are getting over the situation we are in with the virus within society.

"So that’s my first thought. And I think all the teams have been so used to playing behind closed doors that I don’t think it has a particular impact at this stage.

"But I think it’s sad news for football and for Fulham because clearly they would want to play in front of their fans."
