Graham Potter's Brighton will begin their new season on Monday, September 14 as they welcome Frank Lampard's men for an 8pm kick-off at the Amex Stadium.

It's a delayed start to the 2020/21 campaign due to the late finish of last season.

The matches against Crystal Palace are always highly-anticipated and often tense affairs.

Last season Brighton drew 1-1 at Selhurst Park thanks to an opening goal from Brighton's Neal Maupay and a late leveller from Wilfried Zaha.

Palace then took the honours at the Amex Stadium last February thanks to 70th minute strike from Jordan Ayew which sealed a painful 1-0 home defeat for Albion.

Brighton's first Premier League match against Palace for this coming season - subject to broadcast requirements - will be on October 17 at Selhurst Park at 3pm.
