Brighton captain Bruno enjoying every minute

The 38-year-old has featured just eight times in the Premier League but has played in all four of Brighton’s FA Cup ties and the club reached the quarter-finals with a 2-1 win against Derby on Saturday.

Bruno, who is out of contract in the summer, said: “For me being on the pitch is the main thing. I really enjoy playing every minute.

"As footballers we work all week to be there.”

Bruno has been pleased with Albion’s cup run this season and said: “I’m really enjoying it. It’s been really good. We had a good start at Bournemouth and then at West Brom as well.

“We knew Derby were a good side, they are expansive in the way they play. They came back from 2-0 against Southampton, we were aware of that but I think in the first half we were really good.

“Maybe in the second half we didn’t take advantage of the chances and spaces.

“For the players that have not been playing lately and not getting in the starting 11, to have the run and get minutes is really important.

"We've got a really good depth in the squad and that's what we are looking for now, to have everyone on top of their game."
