Rebels’ prize is now a final date at the Amex where they will meet either Bognor Regis Town or Eastbourne Borough later this year.

As a massive Brighton fan, Fagan admitted that is a day he cannot wait for and said: I’ve never had that feeling before. I think you could see with the celebration from everyone at the end just what it means.

“It’s going to be a huge day for me, as a huge Brighton fan, to get a chance to play at the Amex.

“It’s amazing, it’s a chance for us to play at an unbelievable stadium on a great pitch and to showcase what we can do. We’ll have great support at the game and it’s going to be a fantastic experience.”

Fagan revealed he wanted to step up first for Rebels in the shoot-out but in the end had to settle for going third and the Worthing stopper had no fears stepping up from 12 yards.

He added: “I fancy myself on penalties, myself and Rikki Banks work on it in training and I was confident throughout the game.

“When the penalties came I said I wanted to go for first, but they were having none of that. In the end, I went third and I was always confident I was going to score.”
