The Seagulls went into the break on the back of a late 2-1 defeat at Cardiff. Albion had to play a little under an hour with ten men after Dale Stephens was shown a straight red in the first half. The visitors held out with ten men until Sol Bamba scored an injury-time winner that should have been ruled out for offside.

With two defeats in their last two games on the road, Chris Hughton will be hoping for his side to bounce back after the fortnight break, as they head into a number of winnable fixtures coming up between now and the midway point of the season.

Brighton’s return to action comes against a Foxes side still mourning the tragic death of Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who was killed along with four other people when his helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium last month.

His passing shocked the whole of football to the core, with the emotional outpouring of grief from fans, members of staff and both current and former Leicester players showing the impact the 60-year-old had made in the eight years he owned the club.

Whilst it’s understandably been hard for everyone linked with the club to think about matters on the pitch, manager Claude Puel has said that it feels like the right time to "restore all focus on football" heading into their trip to the South Coast this weekend. They sit three points above the Seagulls in the Premier League table going into tomorrow’s clash.

Albion will be hoping for better luck against their East Midlands opponents this season, having lost both encounters in the top flight in the previous campaign. Their last meeting came at the Amex back in March, with goals from Vicente Iborra and Jamie Vardy sealing a 2-0 win for the visitors.

Midfielder Dale Stephens serves the first match of a three-game ban after his sending-off at Cardiff last time out.

Davy Propper and Pascal Gross are both back available after their respective ankle injuries but Alireza Jahanbakhsh has been ruled out after suffering a slight hamstring injury at Everton earlier this month.

Propper could come straight back into the starting 11 to partner Beram Kayal in central midfield. If Propper is not risked, Yves Bissouma will start alongside Kayal.

Albion boss Chris Hughton will also have to decide if Martin Montoya keeps his place at right-back or if he recalls club captain Bruno.
