Broadbridge Heath line up pre-season friendlies - and hope for the best

Broadbridge Heath are making plans for the start of the new season – hoping that the lockdown is eased in time for non-league teams have a proper pre-season at the right time.

A Bears spokesman said: “As one season draws to a close we can start looking forward to when football will resume.”

If football is allowed and the club can safely stage matches, the following games have been planned:

First team squad matches

Sat 27 June Away v Montpelier Villa

Sat 4 July – Home v Cobham

Sat 11 July – Home v Farncombe

Tues 14 July – Home v Charlton U19

Sat 18 July – Away v Corinthians (TBC)

Sat 25 July – Home v Woking U23/Mix

Under-23 squad matches

Thurs 6 August - Home Newhaven - 7.45pm

Tues 18 August Away or Home v DCK Maidenbower

Under-18 squad matches

Weds 5 August - Away v Upper Beeding U18

Sun 9 August - Home v East Preston U18 - 11am

Thurs 13 August - Home v Crawley Town Foundation - 7pm

Sun 16 August - Home v South Park U18 - 11am

Sun 30 August - Away v Newhaven - 11am
