But they now are all clear and in a statement on the club's website, they said: "The Club are pleased to confirm the resumption of football across all senior sides as of 17th September.

"All players associated with the club's recent COVID incident have completed their quarantine period, per SCFL & FA guidance. There have been no further cases reported and no player has reported any symptoms so we are now fit, well, and ready to recommence the season.

"Across the entire club, we feel aggrieved in having to forfeit our FA Cup fixture last weekend but feel proud of the honest and transparent nature is which we addressed the situation as it developed. We'd like to thank our players, management team, committee, and club members for their continued support through this very difficult and fluid period for the club.

"We're looking forward to welcoming Crowborough Athletic U23 to The Countryside Stadium this Thursday evening and then traveling to Lydd Town this Saturday for our Buildbase FA Vase fixture.

"Finally, the Football Club will re-open to its members this Thursday evening."
