STEVE BROWN has been named interim manager of Lewes Football Club until the end of the season.
He will be assisted by Dave Jupp, who he worked with at Ebbsfleet United in Conference South last season when the duo guided Fleet to the play-off final.
Brown’s first game in charge of the Rooks will be on Saturday, when they host Kingstonian in the Ryman League Premier Division.
Brown has a wealth of experience in the game, both on and off the field.
He made 242 appearances for Charlton in his playing days, before he took up a coaching role with Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-18 team. Both Brown and Jupp hold UEFA-A-licensed coaching badges.
Lewes saw former boss Garry Wilson leave just over a week ago and have been under the temporary stewardship of Martin Hinshelwood and Steve Eke.
Hinshelwood will work alongside Brown and Jupp in the next week, before returning to his role with the Rooks academy.
