On Friday, Burgess Hill Town revealed some of their players had tested positive for Covid-19 - but the players in question were self-isolating and had not been near anyone who would be involved in the game - meaning the FA Cup tie was safe to play.

But Hollands and Blair refused to travel and the FA have awarded the game to the Hillians.

Ollie Bayliss tweeted: "On Friday Burgess Hill Town said they could safely host Hollands & Blair FC despite players testing positive for Covid. Yesterday Hollands & Blair refused to travel to play the FA Cup fixture. The FA has awarded the tie to Burgess Hill Town."

Darren A tweeted: "The area is too grey. Fully support @hollandsblairfc decision. Government passing a law no more than 6 people but @FA are happy to put the families of H&B families at risk. No indication that + players had not mixed with team-mates. FA Need to take a look at themselves."

Jimbo Armando replied: "It depends on the circumstances. If those with a positive test have been in close contact with other players then they should all isolate for 14 days. If they haven’t been in close contact with other players then the FA have made the correct decision."

Andy Miller tweeted: "I seem to be in the minority here but I dobt see what's wrong here, if Burgess were told they could play, which would appear happened, then game goes ahead, simple."
