Carter gets more time to win deal
The former Birmingham City, Sunderland and West Brom midfielder spent three days training with the Seagulls last week and a decision was expected on Friday.
However, Poyet has agreed to let the experienced 27-year-old a few more days at The Amex.

Hide AdPoyet thinks Carter could add more strength and experience to the Albion’s stable of midfielders, which already includes former Chelsea prospect Liam Bridcutt, Alan Navarro, Gary Dicker and Matt Sparrow.
Elsewhere, Brighton striker Craig Mackail-Smith scored the winner for Scotland in their Euro 2012 qualifier at the weekend.
