Cash boost for leg break victim Dan

Eastbourne Borough supporters demonstrated their generosity after Little Common’s Dan Hill broke a leg in the recent Sussex Senior Cup tie at Priory Lane.

They contributed to a bucket collection taken during the following Conference South game against Boreham Wood.

With the Borough Supporters Club providing an additional £100, a cheque for £335 was presented to Dan before Saturday’s match against Basingstoke by Football Club chairman John Bonar together with Supporters Club representatives Jim Stewart and Les Baker (chairman).

Mr Bonar said, “Everyone at Borough wishes Dan a speedy recovery.

Next up for Eastbourne Borough on Saturday is the long trip to Weston Super-Mare followed by a Sussex Senior Cup tie with Garry Wilson’s Lewes on Tuesday, January 20.

Meanwhile in the County League Ian Stevens’ Hailsham Town side are due to welcome Arundel to the Beaconsfield tonight (Tuesday) for a 7.30pm kick-off - weather permitting.

On Saturday Eastbourne Town’s clash with St Francis was postponed due to waterlogged pitch.
