Chichester College face St Bedes in schools semi-final

Chichester College's first team have made it through to the semi-final of the Sussex Schools Cup.

After an indifferent start to the season, the back-up squad to the college’s academy have lost just once since Christmas – and that was in controversial circumstances.

The cup run included a resounding 8-1 victory over previously-unbeaten Sussex Downs in the quarter-finals.

The goals came from Tom Pepper, who scored a hat-trick and has recently signed for Arundel, former Sidlesham and Chichester youth player Fraser Smith with two, Ryan Lovett, Morgan Forry and Josh Clack.

Top scorers for the season are Clack (6), Omar Bugiel (5), Pepper (4), Adam Plummer (3) and Forry (3).

Chichester couldn’t have a more difficult semi-final, having been paired with English schools’ champions St Bedes.

The game will be played at Selsey FC next Friday, March 25. All support will be welcome.
