Chairman Matt Wright said: “Our club is growing in both size and quality at a phenomenal rate. This year we have seen more females than ever represent our teams.

“The quality and volume of females we have is a clear reflection on the outstanding level of coaching we have at the club.”

Each team had their own relative success but the stan= out achievements were with the under-15s and the ladies first team.

The U15s finished the season with the league title and cup runners-up medals. Many of these players will turn 16 next year and be available for senior squad selection.

The ladies’ first team broke many club records, including the club’s highest league finish – they were runners-up in the second tier of the female winter football pyramid.

First-team manager Liam Greenfield was quick to acknowledge the success of his side that narrowly missed out on the title to Swindon.

“Finishing second in the league this season is a fantastic achievement – in any of the previous four seasons our points total would have won the league by some distance,” he said.

The senior side held the best defensive record in the entire Women’s Premier League having kept 15 clean sheets in the season.
