A late Chris Ransome equaliser earned Crowborough a point against ten-man Chichester City.

Jon Trotter put the Crows a goal up after 66 minutes before Michael Turvey and an own goal from Ransome put the visitors 2-1 up with nine minutes to go - before Ransome converted a Thom Nowell corner with three minutes left.

In an uneventful first half, James Archer was twice thwarted when well-placed.

In a more eventful second period, Archer was close to giving Chichester the lead when he had a shot pushed around the post.

Crows had a spell of pressure and Dave Adams’ corner picked out the towering Tom Boddy whose bullet header beat the motionless Will Burrows only to rattle the crossbar and go over.

On 66, the hosts broke the deadlock. Adams whipped in a free-kick from the right wing, and it found Trotter, who got in front of James Searle to poke the ball in.

Nine minutes later Chichester drew level. Joe Briggs found Turvey, whose ambitious strike from 25 yards flew past Head and into the top corner.

On 81, the visitors went ahead. James Ford’s sliced effort from the edge of the area was deflected goalwards by Searle before the ball went off the shin of Ransome and in.

Late on, Nowell delivered a free-kick from the left and picked out the unmarked Ransome, who kneed the ball away from Burrows and in off the woodwork. With two minutes remaining, Searle was given a red card following a second bookable offence.
