Clarke double opens Bexhill account

Bexhill United picked up their first points of the season with a 2-0 win at Seaford Town on Wednesday night.

Two first half goals from Dominic Clarke gave Bexhill a welcome Sussex County Football League Division Two victory after their 4-3 defeat at Loxwood on the opening day.

Clarke gave Bexhill the lead in the 20th minute when he took advantage of a complete miskick by Town goalkeeper Sheldon Levett. He struck again four minutes later having been put through by Andy Garman.

Seaford rarely threatened and Bexhill might have won by more. Both sides had a player sent-off in the second half - John Summerbell for Seaford and Nathan Harding for Bexhill - after the second of two fracas.

A full report and reaction will appear in tomorrow’s Bexhill Observer.
