Clymping eye cup final glory

CLYMPING Football Club manager Mike Williamson is hoping to cap their season by lifting the Vernon-Wentworth Cup next week.

Clymping are set to face either County League Division 3 rivals Billingshurst or Southwick Reserves, who play their semi-final on Saturday, at Worthing FC on Wednesday in the final.

Having finished their league campaign at the end of April, Clymping have resumed training this week, and Williamson is hoping to finish a good season on a high with some silverware.

He said: “We want to go out on a high as I think we have done pretty well towards the end of season, to go out winning a cup would be the icing on the cake, so fingers crossed.”

Clymping will be without the injured Dave Spellar and Sam Misselbrook, who is unavailable. Kick-off at Woodside Road is 7.45pm.
