Tony Coade heaped all the praise on to his players as they celebrated their derby day victory against Lewes.
The result keeps Peacehaven in 16th place on 41 points and away front he relegation places.
Coade said: “It was an absolutely fantastic performance from the lads and we fully deserved the three points.
“Derby days are always special for everyone and to get the victory, in the manner we did was fantastic. All the players put in a shift and it’s impossible to single anyone out to be honest. Wilfired took his goal well and I think he high fived every supporter in the ground during his celebration. Of course it’s great to beat your local rivals but there was also three points at stake. we needed them and it gives us that bit of breathing space. “Our aim was stay in this division and if we can pick up a few more points in the coming weeks, we will go a long way to achieving that.”
The only sour note was the sending off of new signing Bayan Fenwick. Coade added: “It was harsh. The lad was closing down the centre half and as he cleared it he caught Bayan’s foot. Their player made a meal of it,Bayan was sent-off and two minutes later their lad was fine - right as rain. It’s a shame as we will miss Bayan for three games now.”
