Common game off as well

Little Common’s game at home to Littlehampton Town is also off due to a waterlogged pitch.

It would have been the first time that Common’s new floodlights would have been used during a match after passing their inspection on Wednesday night.

That means that all six of the area’s senior football clubs have been left fixtureless this afternoon (Saturday) by the wet weather.

Hastings United’s trip to Lowestoft Town in the Ryman Football League Premier Division was first to be postponed early this morning and was soon followed by Rye United’s visit from Chichester City in Sussex County League Division One.

Sidley United’s clash at home to table-topping East Preston, also in Division One, was next to be called-off before Bexhill United’s Sussex RUR Charity Cup third round at Broadbridge Heath and Westfield’s game at Loxwood in Sussex Division Two followed suit.
