Common’s remaining three Macron Store Sussex County Football League Division Two games are at home to Oakwood tomorrow (Saturday), Haywards Heath Town on Easter Saturday and Bexhill United on Easter Monday.

Eldridge said: “They’re going to be tough, but there’s no pressure on us as such. We’ve got to go out and enjoy the last three games and if we carry on playing like we have done the last couple of games, we should get more positive results than negative.

“We want to finish with nine points if we can. Obviously that’s going to be tough, but that’s our target and we’ll see where that gets us. We’re probably not going to climb a great deal higher, but all you can do is win your next game.”

Eighth-placed Common have won three of their last four matches and will be eager to continue that form against a sixth-placed Oakwood side which nabbed a last gasp equaliser in the reverse fixture.

“That was a decent performance up there,” added Eldridge. “They’re going well, but they lost to Mile Oak last week and we’ll be looking to try and inflict another defeat. They’re a big, strong, physical team so we need to match them and hopefully our footballing qualities will come through.”

Steve Mote and Sam Brown are away on separate stag weekends, and Ricky Mote is also away, while Steve Morris is rated 50-50 with an ankle problem. Kick-off is 3pm.
