Little Common entertain Saltdean United in a Sussex County Football League Division Two clash, while Westfield travel to Oakwood for a Division Two Challenge Cup quarter-final.

Fifth-placed Common head into their match on the back of a 2-0 win away to Steyning Town the weekend before last courtesy of first half strikes from Martin Denny and Steve Morris.

That extended Common’s good run to 10 points from a possible 15, although their only defeat in that sequence was a 3-1 loss in the reverse fixture against Saltdean two-and-a-half weeks ago.

Westfield, meanwhile, were narrowly defeated 1-0 on Saturday by Wick & Barnham United, but will be feeling positive about facing Oakwood after doing the league double over the Crawley outfit earlier this season.

A 3-0 away win in the middle of September was followed by a 3-1 triumph at home towards the end of November. Westfield, who are 10th in the league, know that another victory tonight would set up a semi-final against neighbours Bexhill United.

Common’s match will kick-off at 7.30pm, while Westfield will get underway half-an-hour later at 8pm.
