Crawley Down Gatwick recruit Oakwood coach Ferrar

Crawley Down Gatwick have appointed Oakwood coach Jimmy Ferrar to their management team.

He will join boss Paul Cooper and assistant James Day in overseeing the Southern Combination League Premier Division team.

A club statement said: "Crawley Down Gatwick are pleased to welcome Jimmy Ferrar to join the management team at the club.

"Jimmy has plenty of experience having spent a number of years as assistant/coach at Oakwood.

"He will work alongside manager Paul Cooper and assistant James Day for the upcoming season."

Cooper said: “I am really pleased to have added Jimmy to the management team, I’ve known him for a few years now on the county circuit, he’s an experienced coach and his knowledge will be valuable going forwards.

"Having sat down and had a good chat with him last night, we share similar footballing values and without doubt he will add value to the club as a whole."
