This was one of the talking points of last week’s video meeting of League Two clubs with players out of contract on June 30 a major stumbling block when it comes to resolving the season.

With clubs starved of revenue and some owners suffering issues with their private businesses, sanctioning extensions to any deals has become a major problem.

And if the season was to be resolved, it could lead to teams having to field massively under-strength sides if the campaign goes beyond 30 June.

“I would regret losing any player obviously but if we talk about Ollie Palmer – if he goes, we have got Ricky [German] and Nadders [Ashley Nadesan] and they can finish the season for me anyway.

“They were just budding together as a relationship anyway so it’s not a problem.

“The big problem is what do we do in the general scheme of things going forward.”

Konyar has been in constant contact with players and says spirits are good.

He said: “The spirits with the gaffer and the players is high because we believe we have a good squad and we have a good thing going on.

“But in general how high can the spirits be across the nation?

“Everyone is stuck at home. This is the situation we find ourselves in.

“It is going to be strange but hopefully we will get through this one way or another.”
