Crawley Town sale to Ziya Eren goes through

Yesterday the club received confirmation from the Football League that the new owner had passed the Owners and Directors Test.
A final board meeting today approved the completion of the sale and documents were signed to finish the deal.

Hide AdCurrent owners Matt Turner, Dave Pottinger, director Ian Carter, investor Paul Hayward and chief executive Michael Dunford will now be handing over to the new owner who will appoint a new board.
Dunford said this evening: “There were no last-minute hiccups. All the documents have been signed and I am leaving Crawley Town tonight.
“I have enjoyed my 30 months here. It’s a good club and I wish good luck to the owners.
“My message to the fans is: Where have you been all this time?

Hide Ad“I wish the supporters every success and hope that (manager) Mark Yates and (assistant manager) Jimmy Dack are allowed to continue the job they have been doing.”
Dunford has held similar positions at Everton, Birmingham City, Derby County and Plymouth Argyle and plans to continue his career in football administration.
