Assistant manager Jimmy Dack would like to see Matt Harrold and Jimmy Smith turn their attacking talents into goals for the team.

Dack revealed: “We’ve been looking at videos of Matt Harrold’s goals for the last three or four years.

“He has led the attack for us well up top on his own and his link-up play has been brilliant but we would like him to score goals.

“I don’t think the balls into the box have helped him and we have been working on the training ground to try and improve the balls into the area to make the most of his runs.

“He’s making the runs but I don’t think we’re finding him.

“We’ve got a good honest bunch of lads working hard for each other with a good harmony in the group and we’ve got to try to get the best out of them.

“It’s easy trying to get new players - that’s lazy on our behalf. We’ve got to give them the respect they deserve.

“Lee Barnard is a model profesional and gives good advise and has played at the highest level for a reason. We’ve got to get the best out of Lee and we’ve got to do that.

“We are going to try to get Jimmy Smith further up the pitch as his record tells you he has scored goals before and we also want him to do the same here.

“The two weeks off have been good as we have been able to get players back fitter from injuries and work on things in training offensively and how to score more goals.”

Dack revealed they are not keen to add to the squad further during the loan window, unless someone outstanding comes along who will improve the squad.
